In 2019 we began a project which aimed at using creative tools that would make the advocacy campaigns of NGOs and initiative groups in 6 countries in the Black Sea region more efficient. Participants from Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Romania and Ukraine, representatives of non-governmental organizations and groups, as well as various professionals from creative industries worked together to improve the organisations’ capacity of using creative tools in their campaigns.
The common background of the six countries participating in the project is given by the public authorities’ measures, which limit the civic space and intimidate civil society and vocal human rights activists. At the same time, the financial difficulties faced by organizations and initiative groups when externalizing creative services that would benefit their advocacy campaigns have led to their common need of improving their creativity within their own teams and with limited resources.
At the end of the project, CeRe: Centre of Resources for Public Participation has gathered in a guidebook the innovative solutions used throughout their campaigns by the organisations within this project, called “Innovative and creative approached in advocacy campaigns”.

The project „Innovative approaches in advocacy campaigns ”– “Abordări inovative în campaniile de advocacy” spanned 14 months and was funded by Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation, a project of German Marshal Fund.
