From 2012 CeRe together with Great Lakes Consortium for International Training and Development selects Romanian trainees for the experience exchange program ‘Sustaining Civic Participation in Minority Communities’.

The purpose of the program is to give the participants an opportunity for professional development and learning new methods of involving citizens in decision-making processes that affect minority groups/disadvantaged (Roma, people with disabilities, LGBTQ, immigrants, refugees, young people etc.).

Throughout the program the trainees spend 6 weeks in the United States of America, where they work within some community organizations, take part in workshops, and study visits.
