We’re putting democracy to work with 21 new groups and organizations that want to empower their communities

As part of the Proteus programme, CeRe is offering mentoring sessions to increase organizational capacity and improve advocacy to the 21 groups and organizations selected so far.

The topics covered in one-on-one mentoring sessions with the groups and organizations selected in the programme answer questions such as: How do I bring in new members? How can we organize better? How do we attract allies for our efforts? These are all concerns that we discuss in individual meetings with each group or organization.

The mentoring sessions are adapted to the needs of each group and consist of exploring the strengths and challenges faced by the program participants and creating a plan that reflects their learning needs.

Some of the directions addressed by the mentors in individual sessions:

– How to build a strong base of members and supporters

– Team building and setting responsibilities

– Involving young people in activities

– Strategic planning
