The NGO Coalition for Structural Funds started its activity in 2006, in the process of drafting the strategic documents of Romania that underpin the management of European money during 2007-2013. After 2007, Coalition activities focused on real NGO access to post-accession funds, but also on the monitoring of the institutions responsible for implementing the programs financed by the Structural Instruments, through the European Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development through the European Fisheries Fund.

The Coalition currently has 39 members, non-governmental organizations active in areas such as social economy, environment, social inclusion, human rights, public participation and decision-making, transparency, employment, child protection, etc. The Coalition Secretariat and the coordination of its activities are provided by CeRe.
